The Exploring Fascia series presents and discusses new and emerging concepts presented at the International Fascia Research Congresses (I-III). Each course of this 5-part series explores a different aspect of fascia to help you direct your hands and your self care advice in more targeted and effective ways. 

 

EXPLORING FASCIA PART 2: MYOFASCIAL MACRO ANATOMY

In Part 2 we explore the Superficial and Deep fascial layers.

A greater emphasis is placed upon the Deep layer of fascia and its intimate relationship with the musculoskeletal system (e.g. the muscular sleeves - epi, peri and endomysium, tendon, ligament, retinaculum, dynament, septa, compartments, aponeurosis and periosteum).

Over her diverse, 25+ year, career she has been engaged in the profession in a variety of clinical, educational and leadership capacities. As an educator and writer Cathy is most known for her keen interest in fascia and research translation. She has contributed extensively to industry publications and recently co-authored her 1st book; Traumatic Scar Tissue Management – Massage Therapy Principles, Practice and Protocols (Handspring 2016).
