Course Description


Learn a comprehensive Self Massage and Exercise Approach to the Foot & Ankle that you can begin teaching to your clients right away. 

Jackie Prete has been a yoga teacher and massage therapist for decades. She welded the two disciplines together in order to help her clients rehabilitate and restore their bodies in a comprehensive way. 



This course teaches self massage, stretching and strengthening techniques that can help both therapist and client have more comfortable and functional feet and ankles


  • Self massage techniques that anyone can do with their own feet
  • Stretching and mobilizing exercises to release tension and restore pliancy and flexibility to the joints, muscles and connective tissue of the foot and ankle
  • Alignment guidance to restore optimal alignment and function to the foot and ankle
  • Strengthening exercises to support the arches, stability and resiliency of the foot and ankle
  • Balancing and Coordination for grounding and to lessen the likelihood of falling 

In addition to the HD videos teaching all the course content there is an extra recorded 2-hour webinar in which Jackie reviews all the key theory and techniques as well as answers students' questions.

I am so fortunate to have the most fun-filled job in the whole world. I get to be a scientist cooking up fabulous sequences to open the body; an athletic trainer nudging people to advance their practice, and a spirit guide finding a unique way to uncover some juicy jewel of wisdom in the yoga teachings that just might lighten up the heart and lift the spirit.

I see 200 students every week in classes and private sessions from their teens to seniors. I combine my knowledge of bodywork and Anusara yoga therapy to help students discover a path towards freedom from pain and lightness of spirit. No one is left behind.

I became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 1996.  Other great teachers I have had the honor study  and practice with are  Gurumayi Chidvilasanada (Siddha Yoga), Genny Kapular, Certified Iyengar Yoga teacher., Martin Kirk and Ellen Saltonstall.   I was also certified to teach vinyasa yoga with Cindy Lee, owner of Om Yoga  in NYC and  from  Tracey Rich & Ganga White, Directors of the White Lotus Foundation. 

I completed my Anusara Certification in 2001. I am grateful to John Friend and his vision.   I have aligned  with the new  teacher-led  Anusara School of Hatha Yoga  and am deeply honored  to serve as as the Interim Co-chair of the Certification Committee as we move into the next phase of Anusara yoga.
